Why The EWTdf 3553?

Liebherr’s EWTdf 3553 Built-In Dual Zone Wine Cellar received the award for its sleek aesthetic, customisation options, and sophisticated features. The new wine cabinet blends in beautifully with kitchen cabinetry for the ultimate dream kitchen, in combination with Liebherr refrigerators and freezers. Panels can be customised to match cabinetry heights and bottles are stored in the well-organised interior illuminated with cool LED lighting. The EWTdf 3553 offers greater capacity and more storage flexibility with the ability to hold up to 80 bottles.

“Liebherr is committed to bringing smart design to the market with quality materials and convenient features, as seen with our new EWTdf 3553 Wine Cabinet,” says Josef Steigmiller, Divisional Director of the Refrigerators and Freezers Division of Liebherr USA, Co. “We’re very proud of this accomplishment and it’s an honour to be recognised with this prestigious Best of Year award.”

The engineering on the inside of a Liebherr appliance is every bit as sophisticated as the design on the outside. The EWTdf 3553 features an insulated layer that allows the user to set different temperature zones within the unit, to ensure red and white wines are stored at the correct temperature. Interior features like SoftSystem automatically closes the door and a safety thermostat ensures the wine cabinet never reaches temperatures lower than 0°C to prevent damaging stored wines.

“We love shining a light on the incredible work – both projects and product – being done in all sectors. The Best of Year event is a true celebration of our peers and community, and one of my favourite nights of the year,” said Interior Design Editor in Chief, Cindy Allen. Publisher Carol Cisco continues, “We are so appreciative of the contributions that this year’s entrants have made to the design world.
