In this article we list 12 items that should not be stored in the refrigerator – time to free up some fridge space!
We know how great these plump berries can taste when cold, especially when mixed into a salad. But putting them in the fridge will also spoil its taste and texture. If you must, try refrigerating them a few hours before eating.
Putting an unripe avocado in the fridge will slow down its ripening process. If you need it to ripen fast, store it outside in a paper bag with an apple or banana.
Chilling potatoes in the refrigerator can alter their taste and make them rot quickly. Keep them in a cool, dry place instead and you won’t go wrong.
Keep onions in a dry, open space and away from sunlight. Also keep them separate from potatoes. Those spuds release a gas that can speed up the ripening process and spoil your onions way too fast.

7) Ketchup and mustard
These condiments contain chemicals that will prevent the growth of bacteria and can be safely kept in your pantry.

This high-potassium fruit stops ripening when stored in the fridge, so keep the green ones outside on a banana hook.
10) Apples, Pears, Peaches, Nectarines
It is no problem to keep these juicy fruits on your dining table for about 7 days. Besides the vibrant colours can add cheer to your kitchen or living room!
Chilling bread can make it dry and unpleasant to eat. We recommend keeping bread in its sealed plastic bag, in your pantry.
Uncooked raw can be stored in your pantry for many years. Only cooked rice needs to be refrigerated.
