The Red Dot Award 2019 has been awarded to models in Liebherr’s commercial appliances range for the first time. The international jury of experts bestowed the design seal of approval on Liebherr’s supermarket chest freezers and the FreezerTop SFT 1223 in the “Product Design” category which saw over 5,500 entries.
Liebherr appliances – an innovative upgrade for food retailers
Stefan Berchtold, Sales Manager for Food Sales at Liebherr-Hausgeräte says that “The Red Dot Award 2019 is great recognition for a great design achievement. With these award-winning products, we have succeeded in combining appealing design, user-friendliness and functionality right down to the smallest detail. In addition, the appliances are an important building block for the food trade; for example, to upgrade business premises and branches”.
Product presentation and reliability
Liebherr-Hausgeräte has developed supermarket chest freezers especially for professional use in the food trade. They only require a power connection for commissioning, enable optimal product presentation, are particularly robust and ideally suited for the requirements of continuous operation. They are also easy to fill, facilitate hygienic cleaning, work extremely reliably and are very economical due to their low power consumption.
The Red Dot Award began over 60 years ago – in the very same year, 1954, that Hans Liebherr founded what became the Appliances division of the company. Today the awards are one of the most prestigious and coveted design competitions globally.
