Liebherr Appliances has received the Best of Year Award for its HW8000 wine cabinet. Interior Design’s 12th Annual Best of Year Awards program is one of the most highly regarded awards programs in the industry and honors the most significant work of the year by designers, architects, and manufacturers from around the globe. Winners, selected from nearly 2,300 submissions, were named in 113 categories- the biggest competition in Best of Year history.
Liebherr’s HW8000 fully integrated 24-inch wine cabinet received the award for its sleek aesthetic, customization options, and sophisticated features. The new wine cabinet blends in beautifully with kitchen cabinetry for the ultimate dream kitchen, in combination with Liebherr refrigerators and freezers. Panels can be customized to match cabinetry heights of 70-, 80-, or 84-inches and bottles are stored in the well-organized interior illuminated with cool LED lighting. The HW8000 offers greater capacity and more storage flexibility with the ability to hold up to 80 bottles.

The engineering on the inside of a Liebherr appliance is every bit as sophisticated as the design on the outside. The HW 8000 features an insulated layer that allows the user to set different temperature zones within the unit, to ensure red and white wines are stored at the correct temperature. Interior features like SoftSystem automatically close the door, even when the door is fully loaded, and a safety thermostat ensures the wine cabinet never reaches temperatures lower than 32°F / 0°C to prevent damaging stored wines.
